<p>So I have been busy out on the street doing actual direct marketing and I am almost ready to offer ME getting your listings!</p>
<p>Here is an interesting idea for marketing&#8230;<br />
I like doing homeowner seminars, but it always comes down to cost, so I did some research on free or cheap locations to do a weekly free event for the coffee moms from a website I found:</p>
<p>&#8211; Tom Terrific</p>
<p>1. Libraries &#8212; no or low cost &#8212; can&#8217;t be beat.</p>
<p>2. Find out where the local Toastmasters-Rotary-Kiwanis clubs meet. They are usually a good source for inexpensive rooms. My club meets in a very nice hotel meeting room and I can get it for less than $100 for half a day.</p>
<p>Probably, the farther away you get from downtown, the lower the cost will be.</p>

<p>I often hold my seminars, as well as the occasional &#8220;banquet,&#8221; in churches. My business is ministry-related so it lends itself to a church setting, but I&#8217;ve known other organizations to use church facilities for their meetings as well. Fees are usually very minimal &#8212; often only a set-up and cleaning fee. When using the church&#8217;s in-house food service, the fees are extremely competitive.</p>
<p>Some community centers are professional enough for seminars and require minimal fees.</p>
<p>Just this week I set up a year of monthly meetings at a local hotel for no fee at all. We offered them &#8220;sponsorship&#8221; status and inclusion of the name of the hotel on certain of our products.</p>

<p>In addition to the obvious &#8212; schools, churches, community colleges, community rooms in libraries and meeting rooms in community centers (places with space that is for classroom or meetings but isn&#8217;t always used) &#8212; you might look into local associations in your city. We have a few associations here that will &#8220;sponsor&#8221; the event and send out info to their members. Their members get a slight price reduction on the fee, you get advertising &amp; a place to invite others.</p>
<p>Many times, the associations will offer snacks, etc. Another option is to have a company host the event. In exchange, one or two of their people go free, and the rest can pay full or reduced price and you&#8217;re allowed to invite others. In both the sponsor or hosting situation, the organization actually may help you fill your class.</p>

<p>You might try community colleges as a source of inexpensive meeting rooms.</p>

<p>I found libraries to be a valuable source of very nice meeting rooms that are usually free, or at a nominal cost. It&#8217;s perfect if you don&#8217;t have to provide lunch. Sometimes the library will let you set up a coffee service in the room, or now many larger libraries have a great coffee cart where participants can pick up a specialty coffee and bagel on their own. I&#8217;ve also used rooms in campus libraries of community colleges.</p>

<p>Ask the hotel, non-profit organization or public facility (college or high school space) to trade: provide the space in exchange for a certain number of free tickets/spaces in your seminar for their employees, customers, members or other key people.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ve found great spaces with sun-lit rooms, convenient locations, well-designed space and ample, free parking &#8212; with grateful hosts. It helps to approach someone who has attended your presentation. Some will get inspired to help promote your session to their key publics.</p>

<p>I often use a room at one of the local churches. It is not in the basement but on the main floor. There are always other groups in the building so we don&#8217;t feel isolated. I have the same environment when I rent classrooms at one of the universities. Both these venues are in different parts of the city so I&#8217;m accommodating my clients. The cost for both is Cdn$30 per hour.</p>

<p>I&#8217;m based in England, but some of what works here may work where you are:</p>
<p>community hall/centre</p>
<p>church or other religious buildings&#8217; facilities</p>
<p>your alma mater</p>
<p>your children&#8217;s school or alma maters</p>
<p>charity and other not-for-profit organisations&#8217; premises</p>
<p>local government buildings</p>
<p>for weekends, many businesses normally closed on weekends will be delighted to let you use their offices, for a fee.</p>
<p>swap with a formal conference venue: you get hire of the place for $1 and they get to have all of their staff attend (minus essential staff for the event)</p>

<p>Banks have community rooms if it helps the community, they will let you have them, free/fee.</p>
<p>Title companies always have conference rooms if you have a relationship with a Realtor, pursue this avenue. If not a Realtor, a mortgage broker.</p>
<p>Local community centers always have small(er) rooms available for free or no fee.</p>
<p>Your local gyms sometimes have community rooms for use.</p>
<p>Retirement communities will let you use their meeting rooms for free/low fee.</p>

<p>How about Assisted Living Facilities? Some of them near us have very nice rooms that they will rent inexpensively. For example, I just rented a room last night for an evening meeting. It is beautiful, they will provide a lectern and microphone, it has a kitchen that I can use, and I can bring my own food and drink. Cost? $100. And that is in NJ where meeting space is one of the highest.</p>

<p>Look into membership with your local chamber of commerce. For $27 a month membership, I can rent state-of-the-art meeting space at my local Chamber, with free coffee and soft drinks &#8212; the best deal in town.</p>
<p>Some post offices have small meeting rooms they&#8217;ll rent out for next to nothing.</p>
<p>Some airports also have meeting room space, especially convenient for out-of-town visitors. Rates vary so call first.</p>
<p>Municipalities, especially those who have recently over-expanded their offices, will rent out meeting rooms at a very reasonable cost, as will many schools and universities, especially during off-hours.</p>
<p>Churches and other worship centers rent out their classrooms during the week for a nominal fee or donation.</p>
<p>CompUSA will often rent out their training rooms, complete with computer stations. Rates vary depending on your computer needs.</p>
<p>Many towns have &#8220;incubators&#8221; for women- and minority-owned businesses, often affiliated with their Chamber of Commerce. You can rent out office space or flex-office space for a very low cost and have access to their meeting room space as well. Rental space for the one in my area starts at $60 per month for flex space.</p>
<p>I have found these spaces work well for clients coming from the small business sector and for consulting clients flying in for the day. You may also look into them for local NSA chapter meetings.</p>

What to Expect<br />
Four key steps in the loan modification timeline<br />
At the first sign of trouble in paying your mortgage, contact us right away. There are many possible outcomes and we evaluate each situation on a case-by-case basis. Loan modifications are the most common option that may be available to help customers like you.<br />
Here are the four key steps we follow to support loan modification requests.<br />
Step 1 &#8211; Initiating the Loan Modification Request<br />
Determine eligibility &#8211; Use our quick assessment tool to determine if you may be eligible for a loan modification.<br />
Prepare your application &#8211; Once you&#8217;ve confirmed that you&#8217;re eligible, you&#8217;ll need to complete the required documents. To ensure the security of your information, you can either log on to Chase Online and complete the forms in our secure Loan Modification Center, or download the forms as PDFs on your own computer.<br />
Gather your supporting documents &#8211; We&#8217;ll provide a checklist of the required supporting documents (e.g., bank statements, W-2 forms) that you&#8217;ll need to submit with your Request for Modification.<br />
Sign and submit your documents &#8211; Once you&#8217;ve completed and printed the required documents and gathered the required supporting information, FedEx, fax or mail the complete package to Chase. Learn more about free FedEx shipping.<br />

<p>Step 2 &#8211; Review &amp; Analysis<br />
After we receive your package, a home retention specialist will review all the information you&#8217;ve submitted to confirm your eligibility for a loan modification.<br />
This review process may take up to 30 days.<br />
Your home retention specialist may request additional information from you and from third parties, such as appraisers or mortgage insurers.<br />
During this time, it&#8217;s in your best interest to continue making your home loan payments.<br />
Step 3 &#8211; Trial Period Plan<br />
If your loan modification request is approved, you&#8217;ll receive a letter from Chase explaining the terms of your loan, the amount of your new trial period mortgage payments and the next payment date. When you receive this letter, you&#8217;ll begin a three-month Trial Plan. Making your mortgage payments during the trial period is essential, because it shows us that the new loan terms will work within your budget.<br />
Step 4 &#8211; Final Modification Agreement<br />
If you successfully make your payments during your trial period, and the documentation you provided supports the home retention specialist&#8217;s initial review, we will approve your request and your loan modification will become permanent. When you&#8217;ve successfully completed the Trial Plan:<br />
We&#8217;ll mail the loan modification agreement to you.0<br />
You&#8217;ll need to sign and return the Final Modification Agreement.<br />
Once we receive the signed final document, we&#8217;ll conduct a final review. This review may take up to 30 days. Once we complete this review, the loan modification will be final.<br />
There may be other alternatives before foreclosure if a modification is not available. They are spelled out under the Home Retention Options Section on this page. Even so, unfortunately, the threat of foreclosure is real for many Americans.<br />
What if foreclosure is the only option?<br />
Be assured, Chase does not want to foreclose on your property; however, for some, it may be the only option. In those cases, we work with our customers to make the process as smooth and as easy as it can be.<br />
What are the consequences of foreclosure?<br />
When a lender forecloses on your home, you lose your home and all the money you have invested in it. In addition, the foreclosure goes on your credit report and may affect your ability to obtain another mortgage in the future. In some states, you also can be held liable for any loss the lender experiences in selling the home.<br />
The lender is required to report all foreclosures and deeds-in-lieu of foreclosure to the Internal Revenue Service. Because the IRS may view these events as forgiveness of debt, you may have increased tax liability. We recommend you consult with a tax advisor for additional guidance.</p>

<p>Now the first step is KEYWORDS. Now, there is a lot of software out there to help, something I use on a regular basis is the Google Keyword Tool &#8212; just Google it and you&#8217;ll find it. You can then work out what keywords you want to target &#8212; keywords that are relevant and profitable (not fr*ee tips for example). So work out what your keywords are that are going to help you target those because that&#8217;s what&#8217;s going to help you get a ton of traffic. The tip here is to choose a keyword that has low competition and high search volume. That&#8217;s really important as that&#8217;s going to help you rank on the first page of Google and on the first page of YouTube.</p>
<p>The 2nd step is about creating real high-quality CONTENT. So what you&#8217;re creating your videos think about your best and most valuable tips that you can give to people because you&#8217;re much more likely to be shared then. Video is much more likely to go viral as people share video and as a result if you can share some awesome tips on what you&#8217;re discussing, people will share it with people they know and as a result you start getting a lot more traffic as well. So this is another great tip &#8212; make sure the quality of the content is always top notch.</p>
<p>Next, make sure you&#8217;re always building your COMMUNITY. The more subscribers and friends you have on YouTube, the better your YouTube Channel will be ranked. YouTube and Google are really looking for this and when your YouTube Channel page rank goes up, all of your video rankings will go up too. This means you can create just one subsequent video, optimise it just for the keywords and you&#8217;re immediately get straight to the top of YouTube as YouTube will get to trust you for the high quality content and that&#8217;s what they are looking for. YouTube are not necessarily looking for the longevity of anyone&#8217;s content, they are looking for fresh content. And this is what&#8217;s really useful for you and I &#8212; when we create a video we can expect to be on the first page of Google and YouTube (see the proof), especially when we&#8217;ve targeted the keywords correctly. That&#8217;s really important &#8212; always make sure you&#8217;re building your community.</p>
<p>Next&#8230; BACK LINKS. Now, we&#8217;re talking about &#8220;do follow&#8221; back links and this is where we get other websites to embed our videos or talk about you and create content that links back to our &#8216;stuff&#8217;. If you can get the anchor text (the words within the copy that are active links back to our information), to be our keywords and linked back to your VIDEO&#8230; Something that people rarely do &#8212; if you can get those back links back to your channel or video, that&#8217;s going to be really helpful for your Channel page rank and again your videos will go up the search page rankings again &#8212; both on the first page of Google and the first page of YouTube. Really clever, powerful and a little sneaky! So make sure you implement that tactic!</p>
<p>Final step? REGULAR videos. A lot of people think, &#8220;Well if I create a load of videos all on 1 day and upload them all on 1 day that will be great!&#8221; &#8211; this is not a good strategy. What you want to do instead is leak it out over time &#8212; instead of releasing your videos all on one day, just make sure you release one video one day and another video the next day and keep it regular. The reason being is because YouTube look at you as a Channel. Your viewers are actual people (yes, I know!) and people don&#8217;t want loads of content all on 1 day &#8212; you want to be trickling it out on a regular basis because this is what&#8217;s going to be much more enjoyable and much more engaging for your viewers.</p>
<p>So, that&#8217;s the 5 strategies &#8212; make sure you&#8217;ve got your KEYWORDS sorted, make sure you&#8217;re creating quality CONTENT, make sure you&#8217;re constantly building your COMMUNITY, getting BACK LINKS and bringing out REGULAR content. These are 5 tips that are really useful for you if you&#8217;re looking to create videos that go straight to the top of YouTube and Google. This will definitely help you get a lot more views, get a lot more traffic and as a result become a lot more successful.</p>

<p>While it is a ‘Song’ by the Counting Crows (<a href="http://youtu.be/RMSg6566AlI" target="_blank">CLICK &amp; ENJOY</a>) and it was one of the reasons I drove HUNDREDS of miles round trip to listen to the song twice (and debated flying to New York as well)…</p>
<p>It is also a parallel to today’s marketing concept!</p>
<p>There is only ONE teenage marketing system that applies to both teenagers and adults alike…</p>

<p>Now I know MOST if not ALL of you have these accounts anyway and the goal of this exercise and marketing idea is not about building those accounts, it’s about properly using these accounts as permission based marketing platforms.</p>
<p>For those of you who have not been trained by me, been to one of my trainings, or HAVE ZERO CLUE about the concept of permission based marketing…</p>
<p>You should really go see one of my events for the FUN explanation (mostly about me poking fun at myself and my so-called love life… A caring, sensitive and single-father who listens to the Counting Crows and how I want to use a MARKETING FIRM to find my next ‘Ring-Bearer’)</p>
<p>The nutshell answer on WHAT permission based marketing is:   it is creating a situation where <em>SOMEONE</em> raises their hand and asks you for assistance…</p>
<p>So, how do we use the above social media sites as vehicle to get agents to refer files or homeowners and friends to ask for assistance?</p>

I am guessing that you have the first three with followers. <strong>If you do not have facebook, linkedin or twitter followers or fans, go to </strong><a href="http://www.odesk.com/"><strong>www.odesk.com</strong></a><strong> and hire a ‘SMM’ to get your ‘real estate agents’ in your ‘area’ ASAP.  Otherwise you are missing out on an amazing opportunity for FREE marketing! <em>ALSO</em> <em>DO NOT PAY MORE $.50 (fifty cents) per hour for a SMM (social media marketer)! </em></strong></p>
<p><strong><em>STEP 2</em></strong></p>
<p>Assuming you now have all three social media websites open AND you have fans, followers, and friends all dialed in, AND you have created your roost account, it’s time to start your campaign</p>

<p>This is where the rubber meets the road, you have multiple choices for different posting types and I recommend the following:  links, questions, and status updates. My ONLY interest is creating quick interest to go to my website and engage the content on my website.</p>
<p>So let’s say ‘HYPOTHETICALLY’ you have a blog, testimonial, or success story about closing a short sale based on a referral from another agent (wink-wink).</p>
<p>Your goal is to get ALL of the real estate agents who are on <a href="http://www.facebook.com/">www.facebook.com</a> <a href="http://www.twitter.com/">www.twitter.com</a> <a href="http://www.linkedin.com/">www.linkedin.com</a> to go and read that material and be inspired to contact you or refer a deal to you, because you are a short sale ADVOCATE. <a href="http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100000354354131">As an example visit Mike Rigley’s facebook page</a> I know for a fact based on what he posts, how he posts, and the frequency of his postings he is getting referrals and is NETWORKING with other short sale ADVOCATES.</p>
<p>The KEY to using <a href="http://www.roost.com/">www.roost.com</a> is the ‘hook’ to pull them to your website.</p>
<p>For MOST real estate agents it’s always about money, quick closings and MORE money…</p>
<p>Sad but true!</p>
<p>80% of the agents in this world want YOU to upsell them and they are truly a bunch of misguided sheep!</p>
<p>You are going to UPSELL them on YOU!</p>
<p><em>SO point them to your website, create a blog, testimonial, or video about how you made an agent MONEY! Point out that it was based on a referral! Get them on your email list! Give them an amazing FREE gift, like your book (hopefully that you created for free and didn’t buy)…</em></p>

<p>Backlinking Strategy 3 of 30 marketing ideas&#8230;</p>
<h4><em>I wish this was a blog I had written, but I did not! This is however the strategy I used to get my Google placement, page ranking and ALL of my links! It all came from this very simple article&#8230;</em></h4>
<p>There are several strategies one can use to rank higher in the search engines and the one I’m going to explain is just one of them.</p>
<p><em>Furthermore, the principles of this strategy can be done for absolutely free without having to buy any software or tools. I use the software to help and speed things up.</em></p>
<p><em>Don’t spend money on anything you see online unless you can afford it and you feel it will pay you back in the future.</em></p>
<h3>Overview</h3>
<p>I’d like to start by sharing an overview of the process with you so you can see how it all works as a whole. Later in this post, I’ll get into detail about the individual parts.</p>

<p>To summarize what I talk about in the video, the backlinking strategy I’m using involves two layers of backlinks – the <strong>anchor layer</strong>, which are links that you create which link <em>directly</em> to your niche site, and the <strong>indirect layer</strong>, which are links that you create which link directly to your anchor layer.</p>

<p><strong>The Anchor Layer</strong></p>
<p>The anchor layer consists of a few parts, again, which link <em>directly</em> to your niche site.</p>
<p>These include:</p>
<ol>
<li>Top Article Directory Submissions</li>
<li>New Blogs</li>
<li>Web 2.0 Properties</li>
</ol>
<p>Later in this post when I talk about <strong>how</strong> this all happens, I’ll get into what exactly is involved with each of these 4 parts in the anchor layer – what directories I submit to, what “new blogs” is, etc.</p>
<p><strong>The Indirect Layer</strong></p>
<p>The indirect layer is a way to create massive amounts of backlinks which link directly to the anchor properties we setup in the anchor layer. These links <strong>do not</strong> point directly to your niche site.</p>
<p>The indirect layer consists of:</p>
<ol>
<li>Mass Article Submissions using Unique Article Wizard</li>
<li>Mass Bookmarking Submissions</li>
</ol>
<p>The reason that you don’t want to link directly to your niche site is because you’re creating hundreds of backlinks at a time and if you point all of them to your niche site, it will look totally unnatural and your young site won’t be able to handle all of it without raising a red flag. When you point these links to your anchors, because your anchor sites are on high ranking, totally populated websites, they’ll be able to handle the wave/influx of links but at the same time <strong>pass</strong>or <strong>feed </strong>that SEO power generated from all of those links into your niche site. Your anchor properties act as a shield while at the same time allow you to get the SEO benefit from the indirect layer.</p>
<p>Yes, I know – it sounds kind of wacky. When I first heard this strategy it really didn’t make sense to me, but after implementing the strategies myself the results are very clear.</p>
<h3>The Streamlined Process</h3>
<p>Now that you have a general understanding of the <strong>what</strong>, I’m going to show you the <strong>how.</strong></p>
<p>I think the best way to do this is to actually just walk you through the process from start to finish and show you how I can create all of these backlinks from a single unique article.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1: Write an Original Article Related to Your Niche</strong></p>
<p>Everything in this process begins with writing an original article. Personally, I like to have full control of what’s written and what’s published, so I like to write the articles myself, but there are many people who are comfortable with having a virtual assistant or ghostwriter write the article for them instead.</p>
<p>Either way, it should definitely unique content and should typically be around 350-600 words in length. Although the length isn’t extremely important, it’s smart to stay within this range because it will make your life easier in the later steps of this process.</p>
<p>Lastly, you can choose to post this original article onto your niche site before you move on to the next steps. You could kill two birds with one stone by adding content to your site and following the next steps to help build backlinks as well.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2: Prepare The Article for Spinning</strong></p>
<p>Like I mentioned in the overview video above, spinning an article gives you the ability to quickly create multiple variations of an original article so that you can submit them to various places without worrying about duplicate content penalties and so that you can save tons of time by not having to create brand new content from scratch over and over again to get the same message across.</p>
<p>Not everyone is comfortable with the idea of spinning an article – using multiple variations of an original article and then submitting those variations to several different locations on the web. Some people view it as spammy and others view it as dangerous too. I totally respect that side of the argument, but let me tell you why I think it’s okay.</p>
<p><em>(I don’t want this post to turn into some huge debate, but I feel I should tell you why I am okay with this method since this is what I’m showing you how to do.)</em></p>
<p>First, I don’t view it as spammy because I’m making sure that the content that I submit (even after spinning) is good. Since they are quality articles and I don’t submit different versions of an article to the same location, I feel comfortable knowing that I’m doing what I can to make sure my message gets read in the most places as possible, without using the same exact text over and over again.</p>
<p>Also, think about press releases for a second. Press releases are one single version of an article that gets syndicated to tens of thousands of places on the web. Companies like <a href="http://www.prweb.com/" target="_blank">PRWeb</a> make money doing this for other companies, brands and people. As described on PRWeb’s site:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>“We send your news to 35,000 journalists and bloggers, 30,000 websites and hundreds of newspapers including the New York Times, Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune as well as local news outlets across the USA. PRWeb gets your story where it needs to go.”</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Several brand name companies and individuals use press releases (the exact same article, not variations) to help spread the word about something. This is exactly what I’m doing when I submit my spun content to various places on the web, although I’m taking it a step further and am not using the same exact content over and over again. I’m using different variations because that’s the only way I can make it happen, at least without penalty.</p>
<p>In my previous post, I think Mark Mason’s comment says it best:</p>
<blockquote><p><em>“I hate this spinning discussion. Let’s say Pat has the cure for cancer and he posts it on his blog. Curing cancer is good. So Pat spins articles about curing cancer and posts them everywhere so he can help the most people while playing by the rules that GOOGLE has set.</em></p>
<p><em>So what about security guards? Pat’s site rocks. It will help people that are thinking about becoming a security guard. Security guards are a help to society. It’s all good.</em></p>
<p><em>So what if Pat “advertises” his site by placing similar content all over the web? It’s not like the web is “full” and Pat is harming someone by taking up too much space.</em></p>
<p><em>It seems acceptable for Toyota to place the same add on every TV network and run it over and over. It’s OK for AP to syndicate their content everywhere. Why not Pat.</em></p>
<p><em>Not to mention the fact that Pat is only doing this because Google’s algorithms are too poor to tell good content from bad content. I would argue that if Pat Does not do something to rank his site, he is being unfair to all those readers out therebat NEED him but cannot find him.</em></p>
<p><em>Failing to properly promote your site when there are people to help profitably is A lot bigger sin than syndicating 47 very similar but different copies of a good article.</em></p>
<p><em>If you want to take a stand against someone, get mad at Google. They have an inferior product that relies on backlinks — yet they make Billions of dollars each year from it. That’s the problem, not Pat.</em></p></blockquote>
<p>Anyways, I think we’ve beat this to a pulp already – it’s time to show you how it’s done.</p>
<p>In the video below, you’ll see me using a piece of software called <a href="http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/thebestspinner" target="_blank">The Best Spinner</a>, which is by far the best spinning software available with the biggest bank of user generated synonyms that make the spinning process much faster.</p>
<p>Although there is a “one-button” approach that you can use to spin your articles, I would advise against using that feature because although <a href="http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/thebestspinner" target="_blank">The Best Spinner</a> is awesome, it’s automated functions aren’t entirely perfect. You’ll see that I take the time to go through each word one-by-one to plug in good synonyms that make sense. Even though this takes some extra time (and like I said preparing an article for spinning is what takes up most of my time in this backlinking strategy), it’s totally worth it when you can just copy and paste spun versions of your articles in all of the later steps.</p>

<p>Is article spinning absolutely necessary in order to make this strategy work. No!  But as you will see, it does help to speed things up a bit.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3: Submit to Article Directories</strong></p>
<p>In this step, you’ll be submitting spun versions of your original article to various article marketing directories.</p>
<p>The directories I usually submit to are listed below:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com/" target="_blank">EzineArticles</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.goarticles.com/">GoArticles</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.amazines.com/" target="_blank">Amazines</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.articleblast.com/" target="_blank">ArticleBlast</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.articlealley.com/" target="_blank">ArticleAlley</a></li>
</ul>
<p>You probably know that many of these top article directories check to make sure that the article is unique before approving and posting it onto their site. EzineArticles, especially, is notorious for this, however I’ve never once had an article denied approval or removed. If you are worried, you can still continue through this process by submitting a version to just one of the article directories.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ezinearticles.com/" target="_blank">EzineArticles</a> is the top-choice directory, however it usually takes a while to get your articles approved (several days if you have not yet written 10 articles for their site). If you want an immediate approval, you can submit to <a href="http://www.goarticles.com/">GoArticles</a>, which helps because then you don’t have to wait days to utilize the article in this backlinking process.</p>
<p>Here is one version of my article that I spun from the spinning video in step #2, <a href="http://goarticles.com/cgi-bin/showa.cgi?C=3623615" target="_blank">live on GoArticles.com</a>. <em>Don’t forget to add a link directly to your niche site</em> in the author bio / resource section, making sure you have at least one link that is an anchor text that matches your target keyword or keyphrase.</p>
<p>And yes, Pete Chamberlain is my pen name for my niche site and all related articles.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4: Create Your New Blogs and Web 2.0 Properties</strong></p>
<p>At this point you can use spun versions of your original article to create new blogs and web 2.0 properties that all have backlinks pointing to your site. They will be a part of the <strong>anchor layer</strong>that we talked about in the overview, which means they will contain links that point directly back to your niche site.</p>
<p><em>New Blogs and Web 2.0 Properties</em></p>
<p>These are new blogs and web 2.0 sites that you create for free, and the real benefit here is that they are a part of a larger, more powerful and higher ranking domain.</p>
<p>So for example, when you create a free blog at WordPress.com, even though the blog you create will start out as a Page Rank 0 (PR0) website, it’s still a part of the PR9 wordpress.com domain. This same ideology goes for all of the articles you’ve written for article directories too.</p>
<p>Each of the new sites will only require one post, which you can grab from a spun version of your original article (although you could and probably should add a little more (spun) content later – just to give the site more meat.</p>
<p>In addition to the content, you should embed a related video from YouTube (and even a picture too) just to make your page a little more relevant to the topic, and so it looks like it’s lived in a little.</p>

<p>Again, these only require 1 post (2 or 3 is better) with a link back to your niche site, and after that the only thing you have to do with them is remember the URL so you can link to them in the next step (step #5). I don’t do any cross linking between these sites.</p>
<p><em><strong>Anchor Text Update for 2012:</strong> Also, make sure you vary your anchor text a bit. Meaning, the link from these sites that point back to your main site shouldn’t ALWAYS be using your main keyword. Why? Because it’s unnatural and a good variety of related anchor texts is better. So for example, if your target keyword is “Fly Fishing”, then it’s probably smart to use “Fly Fishing” about half the time (roughly) and then a mix of other keywords like “Fly Fishing Rods”, “Fly Fishing Reels”, “Fly Fishing Techniques”, “Fly Fishing Tips”, etc. for the other half.</em></p>
<p><strong><em>Notable Web 2.0 Properties</em></strong></p>
<p>There are two unique Web 2.0 sites I’d like to mention real quick:</p>
<ul>
<li><a href="http://www.squidoo.com/security-guard-training-info" target="_blank">Squidoo</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.hubpages.com/" target="_blank">HubPages</a></li>
</ul>
<p>They are free to setup and treated in the exact same manner as the <em>New Blogs</em>, they are just setup a little differently. You can use a (HIGHLY UNIQUE) spun version of your original article for some content, you can add an rss feed from your niche site, some videos, some pictures – there are a lot of cool things you can do with Squidoo and Hubpages. Again, just make sure there’s a least one backlink (with your keyword as the anchor text), pointing back to your niche site for each.</p>
<p>Note about Squidoo and Hubpages (and the reason why they’re separated out): More recently, they’ve been getting more and more strict with the content that is posted on their sites. I would actually write the content on these sites manually if possible, but if you don’t have the time you can test a spun version of your original article, knowing that it may not be approved. This is a warning for you just in case, just remember to think about the end user and what’s actually useful for them. The more “modules” and content you can add on those sites – the better, and the link that can come from those sites can be extremely powerful, if you can land ‘em.</p>
<p>After you have all of the above mentioned sites setup, you don’t need to keep creating more. When you get to this point, you can skip step #4 entirely because they will already be in place and doing their job.</p>
<p><strong>Step 5: Indirect Linking to Your Anchor Sites</strong></p>
<p>In this step, you’ll be creating a load of backlinks that link back to your anchor sites that you’ve created from your article submissions, your new blogs and web 2.0 properties.</p>
<p><em>Unique Article Wizard</em></p>
<p><a href="http://www.smartpassiveincome.com/uaw" target="_blank">Unique Article Wizard</a> is a tool that I got familiar with a month after starting my niche site and it’s proving to work quite well. Previously, I’ve used Automatic Article Submitter to do mass article submissions, but UAW definitely outperforms AAS in my opinion, simply because I can get a lot more backlinks from it.</p>
<p>That being said, UAW isn’t entirely automatic either, but you can get up to 800-1000 backlinks form a single article, with links to prove it, which is awesome. This is why we use these articles to link to our anchor sites, because 1000s of backlinks to your niche site would definitely be a little much.</p>

<p><em>Social Bookmarking</em></p>
<p>This is another method you can use to link directly to your anchor sites which will ultimately help boost the authority of your niche site.</p>
<p>There are several different backlinking tools available to help you with this process. One of them,<em>Bookmarking Demon</em>, automates the entire process but I’ve found the software to be really hard to handle, and it’s extremely expensive at $147 a pop. After purchasing it myself (again, I purchased and played around with all of these tools to see what works and what doesn’t so I could report back to you), personally I found that it wasn’t worth that much money to me.</p>
<p>I’d rather use a free tool from <a href="http://www.socialposter.com/" target="_blank">Social Poster</a>, which really isn’t automated at all (and the initial time you run through it it takes a while because you have to manually sign up for all of the different social bookmarking sites), but it does save a little bit of time.</p>
<p>During my journey with my security guard training niche, social bookmarking was the thing I did the least. If I didn’t have unique article wizard on hand, I probably would have done more of it.</p>
<p><strong>Step 6: Rinse and Repeat</strong></p>
<p>Go back to Step 1.</p>
<h3>An Important Final Note</h3>
<p>So that’s the bulk of the backlinking strategy, and as you can see there are a lot of parts to it.</p>
<p>The thing is, most of the software and tools I’ve been talking about come with a cost, but I don’t want you to think that you need to purchase any of these things in order to succeed.</p>
<p>You can complete this entire backlinking strategy from the article submissions to the creation of new blogs and web 2.0 properties and social bookmarking without spending a dime. So please, don’t feel like you need to empty your wallet after reading this, I just wanted to show you exactly what I was doing and the tools I’ve been using to help save some time and speed things up a bit.</p>
<p>The tools work, but they aren’t necessary.</p>
